C/R: Prophet In Trouble For Allegedly Bathing 18-year-old Lady Naked In Church

General overseer of Graceland Chapel International, Prophet Kwesi Yaka Ensonyameye, popularly known as ‘Spiritual IGP’ is facing the Awutu Bereku police and traditional authority for allegedly bathing women in his church.

An aunt of an 18-year-old victim reported the prophet to the Awutu Bereku traditional authority and the police for indulging in the act which according to them is a taboo.

The man says the purpose for bathing women in his church is to cast out evil spirits from them.

He is reported to be undressing his subjects naked and bath them with some herbal concoction to drive out demons from them.

According to the aunt of the young victim, her niece was taking care of her shop when she collapsed and was sent to the Awutu Bereku Health Centre.

But when the health officials failed to diagnose her problem, they sought an alternative by sending her to Spiritual IGP.

The woman says her sister’s husband took the girl to the place without her knowledge.

Meanwhile, the prophet demanded them to pay him an additional ₵900 to cleanse her shop from a ‘juju’ that had been planted in front of her shop after paying an initial ₵950 to purchase spiritual oil and other things to bath the 18-year-old lady.

The juju in front of her shop according to the prophet was the cause of the young lady’s collapse.

“He told us someone has planted juju in front of the shop so that was the reason why my niece collpased. So he removed all her clothes and the girl said she felt bad so she covered her vagina with her hands and the prophet shouted at her to remove it saying ‘I’ve seen better vaginas not this your small one’ and he bathed her with the concoction and the water after removing all her dresses. According to her, he bathed her three times. She said she bathed her at midnight and day time,” the aunt narrated to Onua News’ Nana Yaw Asare.

Meanwhile the 18-year-old victim has also been narrating what ensued between her and the prophet.

“He told everyone to leave the church for him to bath me because he didn’t want them to see my nakedness except himself. After bathing me he tells me to sleep naked without wearing my pants. He also changed the original place I was given to sleep when I went there earlier. Also whenever I turn my body in a position for my skirt to cover my nakedness, he says he has seen my buttocks already so there was no need to cover it from him. I didn’t like what was happening because I have never seen a pastor that removes people’s clothes in church and bath them naked so I ran away. But he threatened to curse me with serious ailments if he gets hold of me,” the 18-year-old victim narrated.

The police and the traditional authority have meanwhile, invited the self-styled prophet and taken his statement whilst a date has been set for the victim’s family and Nananom to sit on the matter to tackle the taboo version of it.
