The Black Stars of Ghana head coach, Otto Addo says it won’t be easy for him to select the starting eleven to face Portugal, but insists he’s happy with that.
Ghana will face Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in Group H of the mundial.
Ghana will play Portugal, in their first game, on 24th November before facing South Korea and Uruguay on 28th November and 2nd December respectively.
Ghana won 2:0 against Switzerland in their final pre-World Cup friendly before jetting off to Qatar on Friday.
Goals from Mohammed Salisu and Antoine Semenyo gave Ghana the morale boosting victory.
Thomas Partey and Mohammed Kudus didn’t taste the game against Switzerland, with Salis Abdul Samed and Elisha Owusu marshalling and pulling strings in midfield.
Inaki Williams and Tariq Lamptey also started for the Black Stars on Thursday.
Otto Addo says he will have a selection headache ahead of the Portugal encounter but insists that it’s good for his side.
“Just as everyone else does, we have a good 26man squad, everybody showed what he can today and I am happy for that,” he said.
“I am happy that we have quite an equal squad and it will not be easy for me as a Coach to choose who will play against Portugal but this is how I wanted. It’s better than having eleven players and then afterwards what comes is not so good,” Coach Otto Addo said after the game against Switzerland,” he concluded.
