Former president John Mahama is optimistic that the Black Stars have the quality it takes to win the World Cup trophy for Ghana.
Mahama wants Ghanaians to rally behind the team to ensure victory in the lead up to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, starting Sunday (20 November).
“We have a rich history at the World Cup where we have held the world spell-bound with our unique brand of football,” Mahama wrote on Facebook.
“Now the time has come to stake a claim to the World Cup trophy itself and I believe our Black Stars have what it takes to go all the way,” he added.
