Coach Otto Addo To Name Black Stars Provisional World Cup Squad Today

You know the World Cup is pretty close when talks of provisional squads are all over. Coaches of all 32 teams are expected to submit their provisional list to FIFA by Friday, October 21.

The due list is supposed to be between 35-55 players for ‘operational arrangements. This will help key stakeholders work out all details such as accommodation and visas.
FIFA is not going to make provisional squads public and member associations don’t have to announce the squads.

However, there could also be some surprises and other possible new names, with reports stating Callum Hudson Odoi is most likely to make the provisional squad, so as inform Belgian-based Joseph Paintsil.

Ghana last month, engaged themselves in two friendlies against giants Brazil and Nicaragua, and are also expected to wrap up their preparations for the Mundial when they face Switzerland on November 17, that will be just four days away from the start of the big competition.

Ghana is housed in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea and two time world champions Uruguay.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup has been scheduled to begin on November 21, 2022.
