Three (3) communities in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency in the Ashanti Region of Ghana have been connected to the national grid.
The Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency, Hon. Emmanuel Agyei Anhwere, has commissioned the electrification projects at Kyereyaase, Nyamebekyere, and Apuoyam.
At a colourful event, the Member of Parliament felt euphoric over the ecstatic nature of the people and thanked the Almighty God for making the electrification project a reality.
He chronicled the importance of this project to the socio-economic impact on the people.
“I am happy about the excitement of the people in these communities,” Hon Anwhere said.
Hon Anwhere , whose effort resulted in the six communities getting connected to the grid, said the move was in furtherance to President Akufo-Addo’s commitment to achieving universal access to electricity in Ghana.
He further thanked the chiefs and the people for their patience and assured them of more developmental projects in these communities.
In his final remarks, the Member of Parliament pleaded with the people to strongly stay behind the NPP government in these difficult times and assured them of bouncing back.
He was accompanied by some constituency executives led by Chairman Stephen Boateng, Hon. Equalizer Organiser, Mad. Jane Amoako Woman Organiser, Ember Sarfo Deputy Organiser, Lawerence Asamoah Deputy Youth Organiser, and Amoah Razak Communication Director.
On behalf of the people, Nana Baffour Gyebi, Chief of Kyereyaase, expressed his profound gratitude to the Member of Parliament, MCE, the contractor, and the ECG boss.
He showered praises on the Member of Parliament, Hon. Emmanuel Agyei Anhwere and Hon. Awuku, MCE for their exceptional contributions to the upliftment of the town by building toilet facilities, a three-unit classroom block and the historic electrification project.
The Assembly Member of the area, Mr. Anane Hawkson, was joyous and full of praise for the Member of Parliament.
