The Member of Parliament of the Asene Manso Akroso Constituency, Hon. George Kwame Aboagye “Oluwa” has donated some health items to 8 health facilities in the Asene Manso Akroso District to mark his birthday.
Speaking at his birthday celebration event today 24th August which was held at his premises at Akyem Manso, the Asene-Manso-Akroso legislator who turned 54 years today related that, health facilities in the district are in poor state hence his response to the situation.
He said that, he decided to donate to health facilities in his district on his birthday to upgrade their service in the community.
He pleaded with the health officers in the district to ensure proper maintenance of the donated materials so that it can last with prolonged use for service for the community.
He detailed that, the donation by himself with support from Mr. J. A biney of J.A Biney company ltd., Mr. Ekow Essel the director of Greenland Supplies limited and others comes with 80 chairs, 16 street lights, 10 veronica buckets, 40 boxes of J.A Biney disinfectants and soaps, 8 BP monitors, 8 sets of stethoscopes, 8 sets of both children and adult weighing scales, 8 pulse checker, 6 glycometers among others worth Gh65, 000 cedis for the health centers.
The district health Director, Kwadwo Owusu Ansah also thanked the MP for his continuous contribution to the district’s health centers sharing that, the donation will help ease the burden of people in the community having to travel long distances to well-equipped facilities for healthcare.
He added that, the materials which have been long sought for, will also boost the confidence of health workers and promote good health in the district.
