Assin South DCE Charges Teachers In Rural Areas To Give The Best Of Education To Students

The District Chief Executive of Assin South in the Central Region, Ms Felicia Amissah Ntrakwa has called on teachers in rural areas to use the little educational resources available to them to impact knowledge, transform and improve upon the development of students.

 

 

According to her, any child no matter the background can become a great person if they receive the best education since the students in urban areas and rural areas follow the same curriculum and write the same exams.

She made the statement  to Rich Fm and TodayGhanaMedia.com reporter Obaapa Adwoa Benyiwaa Kwanimaa, when the Assin South District Assembly commissioned a 3 Unit Classroom Block with Library, Store Room and Teachers’ Staff Common room at Assin ‘Beyeed3n’ in the Assin South District.

 

The structure is aimed at creating a conducive teaching and learning environment for both pupils and staff in the quest for good quality education.

 

Consequently, the Assin South District Education Director, Mr. Ransford Appiah was elated by the performance of teachers in the area.
He, therefore, encouraged parents to make the academic work of their wards a priority in the face of challenges and send them to school to enjoy the school feeding.

He used the opportunity to appeal to the government and stakeholders to bridge the infrastructure and desk deficits in rural and periurban areas.

 

Meanwhile, the Chief of Assin ‘Beyeed3n’, Nana Annan “II” who received the keys to the facility on behalf of the teachers expressed gratitude to the Nana Addo led government and the Deputy Minister of Education Rev. Ntim Fordjour and the Assin South District Assembly for the beautiful edifice and pledged to maintain it to ensure it last longer.
