Upper West NPP Executives Up In Arms With Their Regional Minister; Threaten To Boycott Akufo-Addo’s Tour

TodayGhanaMedia.com correspondent in Wa reports that Upper West Regional Executive Committee of the ruling New Patriotic Party, together with some party supporters and sympathizers have resolved to boycott President Akufo-Addo’s tour of the Upper West Region.

 

In an emergency press conference, the Regional Executives accused the Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Bin Salih Hafiz of hijacking all the activities regarding the president’s visit to the region hence their resolve to boycott every activity of the president during the visit

 

They contend that, the Regional Minister has refused to involve them in the organisation towards the President’s visit to the region, and has rather constituted his own parallel group to take charge of the organizing activities towards the visit.

 

President Akufo-Addo is scheduled to pay an official visit to the Upper West Region on Monday, 22 August 2022.
