3 Students Sustain Injuries Due To Torrential Rain Storm At Akyem Wenchi Sasec [Photos]

Three students from Akyem Wenchi Salvation Army Senior High School in the Denkyembour district of the Eastern region after a torrential rainstorm yesterday [17th May 2022] evening have sustained severe injuries and been hospitalized at Akyem Wenchi health clinic.

 

The headmaster of the school, Mr. Isaac Owusu Agyemang speaking to TodayGhanaMedia.com revealed that three students who have been hospitalized were returning from the toilet and stood under the school garage due to the rain but unfortunately, the garage collapsed on them and one student’s leg was nearly cut off by a roofing sheet.

He added that the school’s science laboratory, dining hall, and other buildings have been roofed off as the students are making preparation for their exams, hence they are calling on the government and NGOs to come to their rescue.

Students who were injured and hospitalized at Akyem Wenchi health center on their hospital beds shared what actually happened and how they are responding to treatment at the hospital.

 

 

 

Madam Bernice Teiki, a matron who nearly got her eyes plugged off by a roofing wood from another building that came straight from the kitchen roof also shared with TodayGhanaMedia.com how she was rescued and called on the government to attend to the school as soon as possible.
