Ghana’s music legend, Daddy Lumba has taken a trip down the memory lane as he narrates the story behind his popular song, “Theresa Abebrese“.
Daddy Lumba in a recent interview disclosed why he sang “Theresa Abebrese“.
According to Daddy Lumba, Theresa was very kind to him. She facilitated his travel to Germany, he said.
He believes his travel to Germany was very instrumental in shaping his musical career.
Lumba said his musical career would have taken a nosedive had it not being Theresa’s benevolence.
He expressed his profound gratitude to Theresa and her family for being kind to him when he needed it the most.
The Ladies Man said thinking about the love showered on him by Theresa, he has no choice but to pick inspiration from her kind gesture hence the song, “Theresa“.
For those asking, well unfortunately, Theresa Abebrese died in 2017 and Lumba still grieves. Lumba’s music career started after his Senior Secondary School Education.
He in the company of his then girlfriend, Theresa Abebrese and others formed the group, Lumba brothers.
